Steel decarbonisation solution.

PeroCycle is transforming existing steel plants into carbon recyclers, tackling the 2.8 billion tonnes of CO₂ emitted by the industry each year.

Their thermochemical reactor captures flue gas emissions and converts them into carbon monoxide and oxygen - enabling CO₂ to be reused as a key input in blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace steelmaking. This approach preserves the benefits of traditional steelmaking, such as flexible compositions and broad ore compatibility - while aligning with net-zero targets.

By retrofitting existing infrastructure, PeroCycle minimises stranded assets, avoids costly rebuilds, and helps preserve high-skilled jobs in one of the world’s most carbon-intensive industries.
