Chief Executive Officer

Company: Noema Signal Labs Ltd
Location: United Kingdom
Role (Part-Time / Full-Time): Full-Time
Application Deadline: 3rd April 2026

  • Noema is an early-stage deep tech venture built around a differentiated software-based signal processing framework that can dramatically increase spectral efficiency across wireless communications networks.

The technology is protected by secured IP and designed to integrate into existing network layers, unlocking significantly greater data transmission from the same spectrum. Its potential spans some of the most important and fast-growing markets in communications today, with relevance to NTN, followed by defence and broader communications infrastructure.

  • We are looking for a cofounding CEO to lead Noema Signal Labs from venture formation through to its first institutional funding round and into early commercial traction.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the outset of a venture with genuine technical differentiation, secured IP, and clear commercial relevance. You will take the lead in shaping strategy, raising capital, securing early commercial engagement, and building the foundations of a high-growth company.

You will work alongside a highly technical academic cofounder with deep domain expertise and a strong commercial appetite. The ambition is already there; what is needed now is an exceptional leader who can match that ambition with fundraising capability, commercial network, and the energy to turn breakthrough technology into a venture-backed business.

    • Lead Noema as cofounding CEO from formation through first institutional fundraising and beyond.

    • Work with the team to define strategy, set milestones, and identify the strongest beachhead market, with a particular focus on NTN, followed by defence and adjacent communications markets.

    • Own the fundraising process end to end, including investor targeting, narrative development, pitch preparation, due diligence, term sheet negotiation, and ongoing investor management.

    • Translate breakthrough technology into a compelling commercial proposition, a credible go-to-market strategy, and a roadmap to scale.

    • Identify, engage, and convert early customers, pilots, and strategic partners across NTN, satellite, defence, and communications sectors.

    • Build momentum through partnerships, customer discovery, pilot agreements, and early revenue opportunities.

    • Represent the company with credibility and conviction to investors, customers, strategic partners, and public-sector stakeholders.

    • Help shape the business model, pricing approach, market-entry strategy, and operating plan as the company moves from venture build to commercial execution.

    • Build the early company culture and operating cadence, bringing pace, structure, and focus to a fast-moving environment.

  • We are looking for an energetic, entrepreneurial leader who knows how to build at the earliest stages and is excited by the challenge of turning differentiated technology into a fundable, commercially credible company.

    • Experience as a founder, CEO, or senior commercial leader in an early-stage tech company.

    • A track record of operating in ambiguity and building from scratch.

    • Direct experience raising capital for early-stage ventures, with the credibility to lead investor conversations and close a round.

    • Strong commercial instincts and the ability to connect technical innovation to urgent customer needs.

    • The drive, resilience, and personal energy required to push a company forward through the uncertainty of the earliest stages.

    • A hands-on approach that is strategic, but equally willing to dive in and make things happen.

    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to win confidence from technical founders, investors, customers, and partners.

    • Strong judgement, high emotional intelligence, and comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment with limited structure.

  • The strongest candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Non-terrestrial networks (NTN), satellite communications, space tech, or closely related wireless infrastructure markets.

    • Defence or dual-use technology- selling into stakeholders or navigating procurement environments.

    • Broader communications, telecoms, or wireless sectors, especially where complex technical products are sold into strategic or infrastructure customers.

    • Taking early-stage deep tech companies from technical promise to commercial traction, including first customers, strategic partnerships, and investor backing.

    • Building and leveraging networks across investors, operators, strategic customers, and partners relevant to NTN, defence, and communications.

  • You will be joining as a cofounder, with meaningful equity commensurate with the opportunity and stage of the business. You will have the opportunity to build a company around distinctive deep tech with significant upside, in markets where demand, strategic relevance, and commercial value are all potentially substantial.

  • Cambridge Future Tech is an experienced venture builder focused on creating and scaling deep tech companies. We work hands-on with founders through the venture-building process, helping shape strategy, accelerate execution, and support company creation through the most critical early stages.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to build and lead a category-defining company at the intersection of advanced communications, deep tech, and national strategic importance.
